Following is criteria for evaluating nominations for State Employee of the Month:
- Importance of the employee's specific contribution and the extent to which it served to contribute to the employee's work team, the organization – or the public good.
- The impact the employee's contribution had on the efficiency, effectiveness or responsiveness of an agency service or product.
- The originality of the contribution and the inspiration it may serve to other employees toward excellence of performance.
From the nominations submitted, each Selection Committee member will choose three nominations and assign points as follows:
- 1st choice = 3 points
- 2nd choice = 2 points
- 3rd choice = 1 point
Committee members will send their nomination choices to the state program coordinator who will determine (based upon total points received) the State Employee of the Month. In case of a tie, the Office of Administration Division of Personnel Director will make the final choice.
